Converting a standard F-150 into a V8-powered, Raptor with new suspension and bodywork has been a staple of PaxPower.

PaxPower are one of the leading lights when it comes to pickup truck conversions and aftermarket modifications. They can take your average Chevrolet Silverado or Ram truck and convert them into monsters that are unrecognizable from their standard trucks. This might be a more cost-effective way for someone to get the performance truck they want without needing to buy a totally new truck outright. Now, the company has unveiled that it will take your 2021 model year + Ford F-150 and convert it into a Gen 3 Raptor.

For many years, taking an F-150 and converting it into a V8 powered monster with various other Raptor components such as suspension and bodywork has been a staple of PaxPower. They also held the belief that they would stop with these upgrades should Ford introduce an F-150 Raptor, which we now know they have. Well, that has not stopped with the news that this new conversion is set to become available for all. This is everything you need to know about this package should you desire to purchase it.

PaxPower are introducing this package due to the lack of retail orders for the 2023 Raptor R from Ford, and the fact that Ford can’t build enough Ecboboost-powered Raptors to meet the demand. Hence there is still a clear market for PaxPower to create this machine. The company say they can take any 2021+ F-150 with a crew-cab, four-wheel-drive and 5.5-foot bed configuration and then convert it using OEM Raptor suspension and Gen 3 Raptor body components. This will also allow customers to choose from several different trims offered by Ford.

Those trims include V8, Ecoboost or even Hybrid powerplants for your conversion. There are so many components available to choose from that include color, interior, technology and engine combinations and PaxPower say there are thousands for the customer to choose from allowing them to convert it exactly to your needs, tastes and wants. A lot goes into the conversion, such as the removal of the standard F-150 bodywork with all body components from the cab forward replaced with OEM Gen 3 Raptor parts and pieces. The bed is reconstructed with Raptor panels and trim plus the base conversion also sees the inclusion of OEM Raptor bumpers and skid plates. Customers are also able to choose whether they want grey trim like the standard Raptor, black trim as the Raptor R or color matched trim to the body.

PaxPower say that they will be able to extract 775 hp out of the F-150s 5.0-liter V8 engine with the supercharger upgrade. The supercharged upgrade itself is a 3.0-liter twin-screw supercharger system, now manufactured by Whipple Superchargers. This helps to raise the power level of the F-150 to over 90% of the factory levels, but the reliability and driving characteristics are the same as you would expect from a bespoke Ford product.

PaxPower also state that your 2021+ F-150 conversation will actually be more luxurious than the standard Ford Raptor. You will get plenty of luxury here, with the interior of the Raptor itself based around the XLT trim. However, the PaxPower builds on that with the interiors starting as either the high-end King Ranch or the Platinum spec trucks. Technology such as BluseCruise can be available, which is unavailable as standard on Raptors you buy from Ford. Images from PaxPower show a silver Raptor in Platinum-trim with the PowerBoost Hybrid engine.

The company encourages its customers to customize their trucks as much as they want, to create a truly custom and individual feel to each of these vehicles. There are endless wheel and tire options, a whole host of fabricated bumper upgrades, LED lights, side steps and even more beside to offer for your truck. There are even overlanding accessories and other upgrades available that can either tailor your converted F-150 into an adventure style truck, or one that is more comfortable for daily driving, commutes and long road trips, and the PaxPower F-150 will handle all those tasks with ease.

You will want to get the most out of your conversion as it costs more than a few hundred dollars. It all depends on the base F-150 used, so the prices do vary. The price range PaxPower say that it is either between the $45,000 to the $75,000 range for the F-150 donor truck, with it usually averaging out that the truck is around the $60,000 range. Based on this, PaxPower say that the cost for a non-supercharged conversion is around the $90,000 range, and then it will be at the $100,000 for the supercharged version of the truck, including the base truck.
